August Advice Surgery

This month's Advice Surgery is coming up next Saturday 17th August 10.30 - 11.30 as usual at Horsehay Village Hall in the Community room. All residents welcome to come along with any queries or issues about life in Horsehay & Lightmoor Ward (incorporating the top end of Lawley). You don't need an appointment. Make-up of the ward

Territory

The Borough ward of Horsehay & Lightmoor is located in the South-West of Telford and is comprised of the areas of Horsehay, Lightmoor, the western section of Doseley and the southerly section of Lawley. Ward boundaries are roughly comprised of Lawley cross to the North, Wellington Road to the West, the Ironbridge bypass to the South and with Heath Hill and Little Dawley to the East.

Parishes

Telford & Wrekin boroughs and parishes do not have co-terminus (shared) boundaries. This invariably causes confusion as there may be several parishes or parts thereof in a borough ward. Horsehay & Lightmoor includes parts of the parishes of Dawley Hamlets, The Gorge and Lawley & Overdale.

Residents

There are currently around 4,000 people registered to vote in the ward, though this number is constantly rising as new residents arrive to settle in the new developments in Lightmoor Village and Lawley.
